Terms and Conditions of Service

Definitions

Users: private individuals, companies, tradespeople, storekeepers, architects, homeowner associations, local authorities or administrations who are seeking one or more Contractors to undertake services (building work, renovation, conversion, decoration, etc.).

Contractors: any professional who can respond to a quote request made by a User.

Service Description

The Adopt-a-Contractor.com website provides a client/Contractor networking service.

To be put in contact with one or more Contractors for free, the User must fill in the Quote Request Form for the service/s which he or she requires.

Following this, Contractors who are interested in a quote request get in direct contact with the client in order to prepare the price quote and then, where applicable, carry out the services required.

It is not possible to obtain an automatic price quote by e-mail through The Adopt-a-Contractor website. The quotes are prepared by professional tradespeople who are local to the place where the required service is to be carried out.

In most cases, it will be necessary for the User and the Contractor to make contact by telephone or arrange a visit so that the Contractor can prepare an accurate price quote.

Service Cost

The networking service provided by Adopt-a-Contractor.com is completely free for Users.

No commission is taken on the amount due for services undertaken by Contractors.

Contractors who wish to reply to quote requests are subject to a tariff calculated according to the number of quote requests to which the Contractor wishes to reply. For more information about conditions of service for Contractors, click here.

User's Commitments

Users undertake to utilize the Adopt-a-Contractor.com networking website service for bona fide private purposes and genuinely require services.

Users undertake to provide accurate information in their price quote requests.

Users undertake to inform Adopt-a-Contractor.com as soon as they no longer require to be put in touch with a Contractor.

Users undertake to inform Adopt-a-Contractor.com about any change to the contents of quote requests which they have made.

Any misuse of the services provided by the Adopt-a-Contractor.com website will result in legal action.

For example, the following are deemed to be misuse: fictional quote requests, or those which contain false information, are immoral, pertain to prohibited or illegal products or services, prejudice public order, or misappropriate the identity of a third party.

Any quote request which is unconfirmed, incomplete, vague, or contains false or incoherent information will be routinely deleted.

Contractor's Commitments

In order to be able to reply to quote requests, Contractors agree to do the following:

* reply to quote requests within 3 days
* prepare free quotes
* abide by the commitments and times indicated on quotes
* abide by current applicable regulations and standards
* abide by the fiscal and labor law imposed by legislation
* be up to date with mandatory insurance
* carry out high quality services
* provide a high quality after sales service

The Adopt-a-Contractor.com service is extremely vigilant when it comes to Contractors fulfilling their commitments in order for them to have continued access to quote requests and be able to respond to Users.

In order to ensure a high-quality service, a serious breach of any of the abovementioned points, as observed first-hand by the Adopt-a-Contractor.com service or as reported by a User, will routinely result in the Contractor being banned. The Adopt-a-Contractor.com service also reserves the right to ban at any time, any Contractor which it deems no longer meets the service's required standards.

However, Adopt-a-Contractor.com shall not be liable in the event that a Contractor found via its service is in breach of one of the abovementioned points.
